About Another Time Designs

Another Time Designs has been in business since 1998. 

After redecorating a bedroom in Victorian decor, I was looking for patterns of Victorian Ladies to cover my walls.  In my search, I decided that I also needed Vintage picture frames, which led me to Ebay.  I'm sure all of you have spent many hours searching for your most desired Cross Stitch patterns on Ebay.  One of my many Antique picture frames came with a picture of a Victorian lady.  She was so different, and I was so intrigued by her, that I decided to chart her.  That's when the idea of opening a new Design Company came to me.  I did chart that lady and you can see her on my design page as "Lady Holland".  She isn't my favorite, but she got the ball rolling so if Another Time Designs is a success, I owe it all to her.

Designing Cross Stitch isn't a new venture for me.  My sister, Margaret Montes, and I attempted to open a Design Company called DB Designs over 20 years ago. It was much harder then, most of the world had no access to Cross Stitch designers, other than the designs available in magazines, catalogs or at our local Needlework or Craft Shop.

The Internet has opened a whole new world for all of us who are addicted to Cross Stitch.  When I finally started using my computer for more than getting Scoops on my Soaps, I could not believe the variety of Cross Stitch that was available. 

I hope to add a new pattern every few months, and from time to time, will release one of those original designs from DB Designs.  I have so many ideas, I don't know where to start.  As time goes on, I will be branching out to Victorian Houses and Southern Mansions.  I also have some ideas for Couples and I may throw in a man or two.  I will also be doing a Victorian Nude.
