Beverly M.
Stercula
(1931 - 1983)
Beverly had a
passion for Genealogy. Without a formal education, she was
able to write, edit and publish the Thompson Family Magazine on
her own, an amazing feat for a woman in the 1960s. She
published the Thompson Family Magazine quarterly from March, 1962
until 1974.
In addition to the
Thompson Family Magazine, Genealogems Publications edited and
published periodicals authored by Beverly M. Stercula and others,
such as the following:
-
1840 Census of Iowa: Heads of Families
by Bettylou Headlee, 1968
-
Genealogical Dictionary of Southern Jones
Families
-
Heads of
Families - 1830 Census of Missouri, 1966
-
Lost Leaves from Southern California Trails,
1964 - 1966
-
The Thompson
& Mosely Family History of VA, 1966
Beverly became a
master at her craft, becoming the 32nd Certified Genealogist in
the United States on January 1, 1965. She is also listed in Who's
Who of American Women.
